I am retired and would like to do something rewarding. My daughter has a therapy dog and I have gone through the Go Team training so I can handle her also. We have had so many rewarding visits. For example, nursing homes, the VA Hospital, drug and alcohol treatment centers and activities with children. I am also a Red Cross volunteer which allows me access to events at Gowen Field. I travel occasionally and know how important it is to leave your family members with someone you can trust . I would treat your dog like my own. I want to make it a great and fun experience for all! I have had many dogs, mostly German Shepherds but I adopted a wonderful lab mix dog who was my constant companion for 16 years. I now am fostering a golden/shar pei mix dog. I have had him for a week. We are best friends already! He is the sweetest boy, and I will be moving forward with adoption soon. I have 2 doggie doors that lead outside to a nice size yard, there are also many places and paths to walk in my neighborhood., and your dog will get many walks. No problem if your dog is not familiar with the doors, nice if they are. I am a dog lover and look forward to meeting your best friend. I am retired and usually go on hikes or long walks with the dogs. We play ball in the yard and may have occasional play dates. If your dog is used to being kenneled then, I prefer to kennel them at night, or when leaving for errands. When I am home we will be active, and have walks and play time. The kennel will be open if they would like a break.
