Hi, I’m Janie! I treat all pets like my own, and their safety is always my top priority. Not only do I love animals, but I’ve been trained in understanding dog behavior and have professional experience in caring for them. In the past, I’ve worked at a dog daycare and boarding center, where I was trained in dogs' behavior and learned proper handling. During a shift there, I would monitor between 25 and 30 dogs’ interactions to ensure a safe environment, prevent fights and injuries, and perform health checks throughout the day. Also, for over three years, I volunteered as a dog walker at a shelter near my college. In order to do so, I received more training from the shelter staff on how to walk, exercise, and socialize the nearly 200 dogs in the shelter, including how to safely handle aggressive animals (plus I became very accustomed to leash-pullers)! During the time of COVID-19, I am taking precautions to keep you and your family safe. I have been fully vaccinated, and am happy to wear a mask inside your home if needed.
