Lots of love & fun

Pet care experience

Thank you for considering me to take care of your furry family member. A little about me, I have been in Utah, Cottonwood Heights now for a little over a year and love it here. I truly do this for fun and always fall in love with each and every pet I take care of. I have worked as a veterinarian technician (a long time ago) and was a rescue dog mom for over 20 years. I am one of those people who can't walk by a dog and at the minimum say hi and if it's ok, give them a little love. Please feel free to check out my Facebook Group where I like to share some of the pups I get to take care of and funny animal stuff. However, I am not that big on social media these days so posts may be old. Search on Facebook for "Janice Loves Your Pup" you will see a picture of Ms. Bella (English Bulldog) my mascot! Please reach out with any questions you may have. I work out of my home and have a very flexible schedule so my schedule is very open to give love and attention to your pup. My biggest priority is the safety of your pet. I love creating a safe and loving environment. Many of my regulars say that they can tell their pet was well taken care of when they get home. A few seem to want to stay, LOL

Janice was amazing! She took our dog for a long walk, gave us regular updates, and provided a safe and comfortable space.

Information Janice W. would like to know about your pet

I take care of dogs on a regular basis each week, so it is important that your pup can get along with other dogs. I only like to take two dogs at a time. However, there are times that I have cross overs and there may be multiple dogs at the house as one comes in the morning, one is leaving in the evening, and one is a doggie daycare and only there for a few hours during the day. Also, I work out of the home and am here most of the time. However, there are times where your pup may need to be alone in the house for a few hours. So they need to be used to this and not chew or destroy furniture.

A typical day

Lots of walks, I love to get out every day, and if your pup can do it, I can go for an hour at a time. If they need less, we can do just 30 minutes or less. We have a big backyard to play in, ball throwing, tug-o-war, and just good old puppy lov-in. Steven and I work out of the house. However, if there is a time your pup needs to be alone, we always try to keep that time as short as possible. We usually leave the back door open, so they have free rein to go in and out (as long as weather permits). We follow whatever rules you have at home. If you allow them on furniture or in the bed, we can accommodate them. If that's a no-go in your house, we won't create any bad habits. I do have regular dogs that come each week for doggie daycare and a few overnight stays, so it is important that your pup is socialized and can get along with other dogs. I try never to have more than two dogs at a time, but there are a few times pick-ups and drop-offs overlap.
