Why I love dog sitting My first german shepherd, Maxine, came home in l993 and it was love at first sight. She was a runner and we played ball daily for 14 years. She had health problems and surgeries in her later years but was a fighter and always bounced back. My first black lab, Sally, came home in l995 and the two dogs became like sisters. She was a jumper and was healthy for most of her 12 years. In 2007, we brought home Rosie, our second german shepherd and Vinnie, our second lab. We play ball daily and go for rides. They also enjoy running on our backyard slope and playing with other neighborhood dogs. About my yard I have a large fenced in backyard (10,000 sq. ft. property, including slope), which runs the length of our single story house in the foothills.
