One dog just isn't enough...
Pet care experience
Hello, Janice here. I am the very lucky human of a beautiful rescue pup Carly! Carly and I are not in a place to adopt another dog right now but one just isn’t enough (especially when Carly has about a dozen other humans)! She suggested I curb the need for another dog by taking care of yours’ and I’d be honored to love your furry baby as my own. There has never been a time in my life when there wasn’t a fur-baby, be it my varied menagerie of small pets, the dogs and cats next door and in my own backyard or the horses I cared for (and eventually owed!) at the barn where I had my first job. I grew up with a beautiful Brittany dog named Penny and cared for most of the pets in our neighborhood at one time or another. After earning my BA in Communication from Western Washington University I decided it was time to take the plunge and adopt a rescue pup of my own (Carly, the cute black and brown pup in my pictures)… and when I decided to go back to school for my BS in Psychology with a puppy in tow I learned just how much of a blessing having a little devil around could be as she kept me sane and offered unconditional love through the “ruff” college life. I am an active person who loves playing, exploring new areas, and especially taking hikes or getting out on the water. No matter the weather… rain, sleet, snow or drought I am always excited to go on doggy adventures! As detail oriented person, I appreciate your and your dog's preferences and will be diligent in upholding them. If you use hand signals for human to doggy communication, I will be able to readily learn the 'language' as I was once “fluent” in American Sign Language so am use to picking up new motions. I look forward (with crossed fingers) to helping fill a need for you and getting to know your dog!

Took great care of my dogs through injury and snowstorms!
Janice far exceeded our expectations. She loved on our fur babies as if they were her own. We are beyond grateful for her help and hope she will come visit us again !! Thank you so much, Janice :) ~ The Sheltons (Blu🐾& Mochi🐾)
Wow! Couldn’t of asked for a better sitter!
Janice has a wonderful understanding of how to meet our pets needs. We have three cats and two dogs, all of which have different special needs due to all being senior pets. She helps with not only their unique diets and medication needs but also their sometimes difficulties and bad behaviors while my husband and I are away. Our animals all love her and she has been such a great neighbor to have for when those last minute pet sitting needs arise.

How often does your furry family member need to go out for a potty break? Do they have: ~Diet Restrictions? ~Unpleasant habits? (such as peeing during storms or eating my shoes) ~Sensitivities? (such as not liking people to touch their feet) ~Favorite scratch spot? Favorite toy? ~Are you working on training your dog and if so, what are you currently working on? ~ Are they allowed on the furniture? ~How well do they interact with other dogs/animals? I love all breeds of dogs... but I do have a special spot in my heart for the larger dogs, Bully breeds, and the "problem pups" as my own dog is a bit of a fallen angel.
A typical day
I love exploring new neighborhoods and am always on the look out for trails... It's better for both your dog's joints and mine to run on dirt and the shade is good too. Yes, RUN, I try to run with your dog as much as possible (health, age, and breed restrictions considered of course). If it's appropriate for your dog we may also take a little car ride to do some hiking, play in a lake or run around in my fully fenced yard. I love play time too and am happy to play a game of fetch, tug, or even incorporate some training into fun games. And of course snuggle time is also on the menu!
