My husband, Wayne and I team host furry visitors. We're both at home full time so have plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. Anxious dogs, who prefer their own space can easily be accommodated in our large house with a HUGE fenced yard. We've taken care of dogs that are blind, diabetic, deaf, nervous and those with multiple medical needs.

Mickey came home from his overnight stay with Janice and Bear completely exhausted. The dogs played nonstop so Mickey was in his glory. A tired dog is a happy dog! Thanks Janice and Bear!!
This was the second time my timid collie stayed with Janice. This time, for 10 consecutive days and I could tell from the photos and videos that my pup felt at ease and was getting lots of exercise every day. Janice is very good with her and gave me updates as appropriate. Highly recommend😊
So thankful for Janice and her husband taking the best care of Opie. I was so nervous about leaving him but I quickly realized that he was in the best place and my worries ceased, Janice sent so many wonderful photos and Opie was exercised every day and had so much fun with her dog Bear. We were so happy! I actually think our dog wants to go live there now because she was so amazing. I will be booking with Janice any chance I can get.

Your dog will have the run of our house and access to a huge fenced yard on demand. Expansive floor to ceiling windows and a pet door provide entertaining views and continuous outdoor access . Our home is located in a hiking heaven! Your dog will have the opportunity to join us on daily hikes if that suits their lifestyle and will be cared for in a cat/smoke/child-free environment. We are both dog lovers and only take one dog at a time, or two if they are housemates, in a homey atmosphere where your pet can feel relaxed. We don't kennel dogs unless their pet parents tell us they prefer to sleep in a kennel. I spent many years as a Registered Nurse and in Infection Prevention and Control and am comfortable providing your pet with their special diet and any of their medications.

A typical day
Your dog will be our only guest, as we accept dogs from a single household at a time. We love to hike, with the dogs we care for, on the many trails out our backdoor. Spending time with dogs in our huge fenced yard is a big part of our routine. If your dog prefers to join a pet lover's family over the chaos of a kennel this could be their home away from home.

We only board dogs from one family at a time so your dog(s) will receive plenty of attention in a relaxed, family atmosphere. There are plenty of hiking trails literally at our doorstep for your pet to explore!
