We had the privilege of rescuing two beautiful dogs. The first one was Chloe, and she was approximately 6yrs old. She was a beautiful Golden Retriever-Husky who we found in the shelter. Apparently, she had been in there 3x, and her future was not good. We had a meet & greet with my daughter, and she basically picked us! Chloe immediately came running into the room and placed her paws on my daughter's chest. It was love at first sight! We learned very quickly, that Chloe didn't like sharing her people with other dogs, so we enrolled her into dog training school. That's where we met Cole, a 2yr old Pomeranian. There was a breeder at the school who had a van full of all these beautiful Pomeranians. During our break, I asked if I could see them. She introduced me to all of them, and informed me that Cole needed a home. Chloe didn't like other dogs, and Cole apparently didn't like big dogs. We soon learned they were perfect therapy for each other! We were so blessed to have them in our lives, and enjoyed every minute of it. They were like our kids, and went everywhere with us. In 2013, our beloved Chloe fell ill, and we had to put her down. She lived to be 14yrs old. Then, in 2020 our beloved Cole got sick, and we had to do the same with him. He was 13yrs old. We decided, it just was too hard to say goodbye to our fur babies, so we never got another dog. I enjoy visiting other friend's animals, and our daughter brings her babies over for a visit. Recently, I happen to have a client who joined Rover, and she told me about her experiences. The thought of being able to enjoy animals again, seemed absolutely inviting.
