Hi, my name is Janete and I can’t wait to meet you and your pup! I have been surrounded by dogs ever since I was born; quite literally—my family once had a GSD that had over 10 litters. It was my job to take care of the puppies including training and socialization skills. I also spend a great deal of my time volunteering with the Humane Society. I once conducted a study with them to see if dogs relax more to certain types of music. It turns out classical and Hertz music does, in fact, relax dogs! I have been pet-sitting and dog-walking for over 20 years. My experience includes caring for all types of canines…old and young, aggressive and timid, large breed and tea cups—and everything in between! And if you have a particularly active pup, I’m very happy to take them on a run instead of a walk. Whatever you need, I am sure I can provide a proper solution. As a person and as a pet sitter, I’m trustworthy, energetic and passionate about helping people. Taking care of others is in my DNA. I work part-time as a home healthcare worker where patients let me into their homes. I regularly see others in their most vulnerable state in order to provide care when needed. And I do it with a smile because helping others truly makes me happy. I see myself as an extension of my client’s family, there to jump in and help whenever needed! I know that life is hectic and sometimes it’s the dog’s exercise routine or overall care plan that takes a hit when schedules get busy.
