For 12 wonderful years, our home was a dog home to Hershey, our beautiful chocolate newfie/lab/retriever mix, my best buddy, but in September 2016 very suddenly, my family and I had to say good-bye to our beloved friend due to cancer. Our house is still very empty without her presence, which is why I became a Host with Rover that same year and dedicated it to Hershey in her honour. I look after one dog at a time so your pup wouldn’t have to worry about interacting with other pets and I also work from home so your dog would not be alone during the work day. We have a fenced in backyard which is perfect for going outside to play. I am more than capable handling larger dogs as Hershey was 90 lbs. of love however, all dogs are special to me regardless of size or breed. I am very well-known in my neighbourhood with my dog friends as a regular dog walker/dog lover, and am accustomed to meeting other dogs I know while on our walks. I am very attentive to individual dog's needs as our senior dog had a few (surgery recovery, medication, lameness, slow walks, etc.). I do have allergies, so certain breeds are not good for me, but that will be discussed up front, as it is my policy to always have a Meet & Greet prior to accepting any pups for boarding. Being a Host with Rover has helped me process the loss of Hershey by allowing me the opportunity to have many wonderful dogs stay in our home.
