Pet care experience
I grew up with a dog and have had my own dogs the last 8 years. I love being around dogs and understand how important it is for them to be outside walking and exercising and smelling their world for stimulation. I also know the value of having trusted pet care as I have used Rover when I traveled and couldn’t take my dogs with me. I volunteer weekly at a local pet shelter walking, loving and cleaning up after puppies and dogs of all kinds and sizes so I can appreciate all kinds of dogs.

Janet was great with our 5 month old Westie puppy, Kiwi. At our Meet and Greet, and we immediately felt good about entrusting her with Kiwi’s care. We could tell she enjoys dogs and was warm and affectionate with her, as well as professional. Janet asked good questions about Kiwi’s behavior, likes, habits, etc. that would help her better care for our pup. We had to be gone for the day and had Janet drop in for two 60-minute visits. Janet played with Kiwi, took her on walks, sent us pictures and had great communication with us, providing detailed summaries of each visit. We will definitely book Janet again when the need arises.
This was my first experience with Rover. I was anxious about leaving my dog for 10 days, but this situation worked beautifully. Thunder is an older dog and Janet understood her very well. We had some unexpected noisy construction work in the neighborhood and Janet took her for walks elsewhere so Thunder wouldn't be stressed by the noise. I received daily updates, which were thorough and eased my concerns about being gone so long. I would absolutely use Janet again for my next trip.
Janet was very attentive. She made sure she understood any issues and was patient with both me and my dog. I love that she sent daily pictures and let my family member know how Willow was doing while I was out of town. I was very lucky to find her!!
…I was able to monitor Janet’s visits , which she didn’t mind. My dogie Angel received lots of attention / love from her . I was very matinal to see that while I was out of town… Thank you Janet ! You rock 😍

Any routine or steps that help the animal be more comfortable please let me know so I can be sure to incorporate these into my visit. Each animal has their own personality and needs and I respect that after having had three rescues myself, all of which had very different needs to feel happy and secure.
A typical day
Each pet owner has there unique ways to care for their animal and I can follow through on any instructions that are intended to provide the best care while the owner is away. I can exercise, play with toys or just provide affection.

I am retired and available everyday of the week to walk or check in and visit your pets. I follow a routine with my two dogs and know how important quality, daily care is to the health of a pet.
