Pet care experience
I grew up with a dog and have had my own dogs the last 13 years. I love being around dogs and understand how important it is for them to be outside walking and exercising and smelling their world for stimulation. I also know the value of having trusted pet care as I have used Rover when I traveled and couldn’t take my dogs with me. I volunteer weekly at a local pet shelter walking, loving and cleaning up after puppies and dogs of all kinds and sizes so I can appreciate all kinds of dogs.

I walk my own dogs 3-4 times a day and they have consistent eating times. I find routine helps dogs know what to expect and feel safe in their environment. I spend a lot of time outside with my dogs so they get plenty of good smells, exercise and stimulation.

Any routine or steps that help the animal be more comfortable please let me know so I can be sure to incorporate these into my visit. Each animal has their own personality and needs and I respect that after having had three rescues myself, all of which had very different needs to feel happy and secure.
A typical day
Each pet owner has there unique ways to care for their animal and I can follow through on any instructions that are intended to provide the best care while the owner is away. I can exercise, play with toys or just provide affection.

Availability
I am retired and available everyday of the week to walk or check in and visit your pets. I follow a routine with my two dogs and know how important quality, daily care is to the health of a pet. I also provide home sitting services where I can check on your pets several times a day and spend time with them while they remain in their own home, but I'm not able to spend the night.
