Pet care experience
Have my own pets & have been manager of local rescue. Care includes seniors, special needs, multiple pets, general daily care (feed, walks, playtime), administering meds, monitoring daily health, vet visits etc. I am recently retired, so I have lots of time to fill, doing what I love - caring for your pet’s needs. I am available anytime throughout the week/weekend - and alternate Saturdays. I have 4 cats and one re-homed Boxer mix. My animals all roam free inside; my dog uses a large kennel anytime I’m out of the house/overnight. I will care as much for your pet, as I do my own!

Simone is such a loving, giving and reliable person. She goes above and beyond for animals in her care and treats them like her own. She has years of experience with dogs and cats and even has some background in giving meds to animals as needed.
Simone R. is an amazing, caring, loving person. We met at our local No Kill Animal Rescue Shelter. She started out as a Volunteer and worked her way up to becoming the Manager. She always went above and beyond, taking animals home after hours to care for them on top of having her own pets to care for at home. She is extremely passionate about animals and is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. Any animal would be fortunate to be in her care.
I would recommend Simone as an excellent person to care for a pet. She is very conscientious and compassionate. Her love of animals will be felt by the pets left in her care.

It’s very important to get to know the dog and visa versa. Temperament, does it like other dogs? Good with people? Males, females, kids? Any little idiosyncrasies- for example, “being wary of men in hats?” Protective of family? Kids? Any resource guarding? While receiving a snack? Playing with toys? Any aggressive tendencies? With other dogs? People? Specific situations? Ie) Bikes/skateboards going by?
A typical day
All dogs need to have “fun” - going for walks, or alternately, going for a “smell walk” (somewhere new and not explored yet). There are numerous parks, trails in Peterborough and area that I often use. There should also be time for just hanging out and relaxing, napping. Maybe some additional activities for stimulation in case it’s rainy and your dog would rather stay inside.
