Pet care experience
I am home full time, and offer loving care and attention with daily, or twice daily, walks in Kal Park or within the neighborhood. The dog beach is a quick drive or longish walk away if your dog loves to swim and hike. If not then we have a fair sized yard which is safe and fully fenced with plenty of places to run, play and explore. Our house has plenty of rooms which the dogs will have access to should they want some quiet time to unwind, or to be alone. We have a very friendly and playful medium sized spaniel who is quick to share his numerous toys and dog beds with other playmates. I have previously owned a retriever who I had enrolled within the St John Ambulance pet therapy program and so understand and value the temperament, needs and value of each and every dog. I also capture these different little personalities on canvas and earn a little on the side as a pet portrait artist. I offer discounts to interested dog owners who entrust me with their dogs in their absence. Full or half day care, drop-ins and/or overnights available, with daily walks included.

Janet and her family are very loving toward animals. My dogs went for a meet and greet and were very happy. On the overnight stay, my pups became anxious (first night away) and Janet was able to recognize and identify my dogs anxiety. Janet offered all sorts of solutions to get the dogs comfortable, even coming to my home to get to know the dogs more. My pups were simply not ready to be out of their environment and we made the decision to home board. Janet obviously has a passion for animals and I feel anyone would be more than happy with her efforts. I can truly recommend her as I feel she is very committed to the animals that she has the pleasure and responsibility to care for.
I am so grateful to Janet and her family...and Ollie! Ghost LOVES his visits. It means a lot to us to have our dog so wonderfully cared for - it’s a big relief. Love dropping him off - so easy. He gets a big walk and clearly oodles of attention :) he’s spoiled and I’m glad. Thank you!
As with the previous visit, the experience was excellent. I appreciate Janer’s quick responses, her photo updates and the fact that Janet and her family go out of their way to make sure the experrience is good for my pups.
Janet and her family hosted my two little Shih Tzu pups for a day and night, after a preliminary meet and greet. I loved the fact that we did a meet and greet prior to the stay as it allowed me to see the interaction between my pups, Janet and family, and Ollie. This was everything that I wanted to ensure that not only were the dogs safe but cared for in ways that catered to their different personalities: lots of cuddles and toys for Bella and things for Bix to explore (birds, a playful dog, and a new yard full of smells). I fully intend to book more stays with Janet and highly recommend her to others wanting a warm home environment for their fur babies.
