Pet care experience
You can check my Instagram page for additional picture of the adventures of my fur clients and my dog @JanetAndLoki For over 3 years, I have been providing pet services in Ventura County. I have experience taking care of dogs ranging from small size to big dogs (70 lbs), young to senior age, and active to low energy dogs. Majority of my clients are not from Rover or Wag. Most of my clients are from word-of-mouth or they have seen me on my walks with other dogs and ask about my services. On Instagram @JanetAndLoki, you will find more photos or videos of my regular and occasional fur clients.
Reviews
Janet did a great job checking in on my kitty and sent nice pictures
Janet took exceptional care of our two dogs an cat. Walked the dogs and kept the house very clean. I’m so glad we found her.
Janet was great with my 3-month old puppy; she helped me out with short notice and my puppy loved her! She was very respectful and responsible.
Janet came to us by way of another dog family and we are so pleased that she did. Our little dog, Miss Lillian, a Cavachon, could not be happier! She knows Janet’s name and awaits anxiously at the door for her arrival – seriously, Lily knows when Janet is due to arrive. Janet is always on time, always sends us a video map of where the two have been – and consistently walks Lily to her capacity which is 3 to 4 miles in an hour. We highly recommend this very responsible young lady who clearly has a love for dogs which helps her pay for her college education as a teacher.

Information Janet C. would like to know about your pet
It's important to know the level of activity the dog has so we can plan accordingly. It is also important to know what behaviors to expect in a walk. How do they do on a walk when other dogs are present? Do they need personal space from other dogs? How can I make their walk more pleasant?
A typical day
When it comes to my walks, I take two major factors into account, weather and the dog's ability. Depending on the dogs, we can walk from 2-3 miles within an hours, but there are other dogs that may not be as active so our walk might be more of a stroll. For dogs who are not as active, this might include a lot of sniffing and following their pace. I like to make sure they have time to sniff and go bathroom if needed. I like to walk around the pets neighborhood. For majority of my fur clients, that includes Channel Island Harbor, Oxnard Beach Park, Peninsula Park, and Seabridge area. During our walks, I am aware of my surrounding to avoid aggressive or off-leash dogs.

Availability
I'm a full-time student and the flexibility of pet services has become my part-time job. Prior to becoming a full-time student, I was working as a paraeducator in Oxnard for over 10 years. Since I am starting my student teaching this Fall (2023), my availability will be extremely limited. For House-Sitting or Boarding, I will not be always home since I need to step out for school, or I may step out to check-in or walk a regular client's dog(s). Schedule Monday: School 7:15am-7:30pm Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday: School 7:15am-4:30pm Thursday: School 7:15am-7:45pm updated 08/12/2023
