Pet care experience
My family had dogs when I was growing up, so I've been around dogs a long time. When I got married and bought a house, I couldn't wait to get a dog. I've been married 54 years and have always had a dog, except for a few years before I retired. The family dog "Maggie" had passed, the kids were off to college, husband and I both worked. I decided it wouldn't be fair to have a dog just to leave him alone, so I waited until I retired. My last day at work was December 19, and I had "Sophie" by December 21. So excited to have a dog back in my life! I have trained puppies and older dogs, and have done agility training with one of my dogs, as well as basic training with all our dogs. Now that the kids are grown, the dogs have become the babies and are spoiled just like the kids were. I am a " pet grandparent " to Major a dog, and Solomon, a cat, who I take care of when needed. I also took care of my friends dog for 7 weeks while she was rehabbing from an accident.

Ms. Janet has made me feel at ease leaving my little Abby with her. She continuously sent me videos and pictures. What I also loved was to see that her fur friends were also so good to her. I was able to tell by the pictures that they got along. I almost feel sad that she would not have her playmates when she returns to me. If you want to have a stress free vacation and not worry about your fur friends, Mrs. Janet is the perfect one to care for them. She is amazing and truly makes them feel at home. I am truly grateful for her❤️
Janet is an excellent dog sitter, and I would leave our baby with her anytime.
Toby, has been my constant companion from the time he was 9 weeks old. Initially I was leary about leaving him with anyone even an experienced sitter. When I dropped him off and left he had an anxiety attack. It was too late to cancel my travel plans. I was soon reassured that Toby was doing well. After receiving photos and videos of him playing, and going for walks with his new found friends I began to feel more comfortable. Photos of Toby laying across Janet's lap lindicated to me I had nothing to worry about. This Rover Sitter is a 'keeper'.
Thank you so much for watching my fur baby. You were extremely great with her and kept me updated. Will definitely be using you again.

I have 2 older dogs who are family, they are welcome on the furniture and bed. Your dog will be welcome there too, unless that is something you don't allow. I will follow your rules. If your dog is more comfortable in a kennel, I can do that, too. I would need to know how your dog gets along with people and other dogs, so we would definitely do a meet and greet. I CAN NOT take males that have not been neutered/fixed, and I CAN NOT take females in heat. IF YOUR DOG HAS TROUBLE WITH STAIRS, I HAVE RAMPS OFF THE FRONT AND BACK PORCH. I ALSO HAVE A RAMP INSIDE FOR A STEP DOWN TO THE DEN, AS WELL AS RAMPS TO THE SOFA AND BED.

Let me know if your dogs has special needs or requires special attention. Does your dog get along with other dogs, cats, and kids? Does your dog walk well on a leash? Does your dog follow verbal commands Is your dog a digger or climber that may try to get out of the fenced yard?
A typical day
We have a nice neighborhood for walking, and a fenced yard for playing fetch or just running around. There is a dog park nearby we can visit when the weather is good. We have lots of toys inside as well. if your dog has trouble with stairs, I have ramps on the front and back porch for easy access.

I'm retired, so I have lots of time for your dog. I can walk with them, play with them or just chill out for cuddle time if that's what your dog likes. I am close to a dog park, so that is also an option.
