Pet care experience
Both Joe and myself have had a number of dogs during our lifetime. We have a reasonable sized garden which is dog friendly, escape proof with both shade, provided by lots of trees (a dogs delight) and sunny spots. It has been regularly used by our dog and his friends who often come to us for holidays when their owners are away. As we are nearing retirement one or other of us is in or around the house most of the day. The local vet is within 10 minutes walk in case of emergencies. There are lots of safe dog friendly local walks including woods, streams, canals and parks (including Meanwood Park, Roundhay Park and Golden Acre Park).After having dogs all our lives ,our last dog ,a rescue, died after 13yrs with us and although we are happy to look after dogs .We are not looking for another ourselves. We still regularly go for walks but its not quite the same without a 4legged friend.

Our first time leaving Pollo with someone else while we went away for the weekend. Pollo settled in straight away and came back very tired! We were sent text updates which really helped put our mind at rest. Thanks Janet & Joe!
Janet and Joe are very lovely and caring people. Louis liked them from the first visit and felt very comfortable in their house. They are very accommodating and understood the dog’s requirements. I was really upset when we left him there but next day we had a text confirming that he settled down very nicely. When we took him back home he was behaving the same way when we left him so nothing changed in his behaviour. Previously we had some small issues when he stayed with other people. I will defiantly use them again and will recommend to anybody who will look for a carer. Thank you!!!!
Our Labradoodle was really well looked after by Janet and Joe. Always a good sign when he didn’t want to leave!
A massive thank you once again to Janet and Jo for having Lexie and making her so welcome. She had an absolutely great time and it's so reassuring to know we can go away, knowing she's in very good hands and well taken care of. I highly recommend this lovely couple that are clearly true dog lovers. See you again soon! 😊
