“The Dog House” is a cage-free, home-style dog daycare center offering day, overnight, and extended stays. Your dog’s comfort and safety is our number one priority so our center offers 24/7 onsite supervision. Your dog will never be left alone or in a kennel but we will crate your pup at night if you prefer. We know your dog misses you when you’re gone and we want The Dog House to feel like home as much as possible. We offer free local pick-up and drop-off, an outdoor play area, a shaded lounging deck, climate controlled indoor space with comfy beds, a prep kitchen, and handcrafted dog treats. Large or small, all our dogs get along. At The Dog House, you're always part of the pack.

Janet is always enthusiastic with my pets! She does nice long walks, picks up their toys and dirty work, and gives them lots of love. She is the best dog sitter/walker I have ever used!
I have used several dog sitters/walkers since moving to San Diego two years ago. Janet is the only one I have and will use again. She is a mature woman who cares for my dog as though he was her own. She is experienced, having had dogs most of her life. Her dog, Apollo, is the quintessential Gentle Giant. My dog is only 15 lbs and they play like the best of friends and Apollo is always so sweet and gentle with him. Janet keeps a careful eye on her doggies and takes care of their needs appropriately. My Duke just loves her!
Janet provided exceptional care for my three dogs when we went on a day trip. One of our dogs, a German Shepherd, is on a special diet and feeding schedule she easily accommodated this and provided his medications as well as providing loving attention. I will be using her again in the future and I highly recommend her for all your doggy needs.

We always do a temperament test before accepting a new dog. It's important for your dog to be familiar with the center before spending the day and we need to make sure your dog is well socialized and able to interact with all dog personalities. Anytime you have multiple dogs together there can be minor conflicts. However, dogs are experts at working out their issues and at self-regulation. And we have the hands-on experience and training to know when the human needs to step in and how to quickly defuse the situation. At The Dog House, we believe there is no such thing as an "aggressive" dog breed so we accept and love all breeds of dogs.
A typical day
At the dog house, we take the pooches on walks daily for no extra charge. We also make take field trips to local dog parks and to dog beach if owners allow. There is never an extra fee for love and attention.
