Dog obsessed, love walks and parks!
Pet care experience
I am a completely dog obsessed animal lover. I have special skills with special medical needs dogs. I have over 15 years of experience in raising my own dogs, both rescues with high medical needs and I have enjoyed every minute of it. My job is flexible and I work from home. I’m located in downtown St. Paul and have access to plenty of parks and trails for walks and my building loves doggy guests, which we also have a dog run and indoor spaces to walk them if it’s too cold outside for the little ones! I don’t require crate training, just need to be potty trained and I am able to kennel in small spaces if that makes your baby more comfortable. I love cuddling with dogs and they are allowed in all spaces of my home. I also enjoy grooming them and have an indoor dog wash for any babies who have parents that would like a bath and blow out!

I was confident that Janessa would take great care of Dorie when I left her for two days. I was not disappointed! Dorie was clearly happy with Janessa and her dog Popsicle. Dorie was eager to see us on our return, and settled right in to our household routine! Janessa gave us good information about how Dorie’s days and nights went, took her for walks and introduced her to friends whom Dorie was happy to meet.
Janessa was friendly, flexible, and clearly a dog-lover. Sadie loved her time with Janessa and her awesome dog Popsicle. Thanks for a good weekend!

Janessa is a wonderful person and did an awesome job taking care of Huey! She sent updates with photos which was greatly appreciated! Huey enjoyed hanging out with Janessa’s pup Popsicle! We highly recommend Janessa and rest assured she will treat your furry family member like one of her own!

I do not have a yard, but I I live across the street from a park, have a gated courtyard for those who would feel more comfortable having their dog walked in there. I am also willing to drive to dog parks, two of which are located less than 10 minutes from me.

I would like to know any medical needs, allergies, favorite treats, food restrictions, normal daily schedule, and anything that would make the dog nervous or causes them anxiety! I cannot accept dogs that bark consistently when left alone for any period of time, have separation anxiety and are not crate trained, or have shown any aggression towards other dogs since I have my own dogs in the home as well.
A typical day
We have a pretty laid back schedule but always willing to follow the schedule you have for your dog! I love going for walks and if you have dogs that enjoy bike rides in spring and summer, my dogs love them too! If you’re ok with travel, we also visit my family farm which has 20 acres of land and lots to explore. Dogs will get lots of walks and playtime in!
