Hello there! 🥰 My name is Janelle and I love pet sitting and house sitting almost as much as I love my own animals :) I really enjoy spending time with the animals and making sure they get what they need while the owners are away! I grew up on a farm with cattle, a pet dog (always had an energetic collie cross), and multiple cats! I have been around animals since I was a child, and then expanded into offering pet/house sitting once I was in University! Also, I currently have 2 doggos of my own, a 3 year old German Shepherd and a 2.5 year old Pitbull lab mastiff cross. They generally stay home while I’m dog walking :) I have pet/house sat for multiple friends and family and in turn, have been exposed to all kinds of breeds and animals! I am very respectful when it comes to being a house guest. I’ll leave the space cleaner than you left it, and I will ensure any tasks that need to be done, are! We are so grateful for Janelle 💕 She came to our rescue on very short notice to walk our girl Stella when our lives got hectic. She was accommodating, flexible, patient, kind, and very loving towards Stella. She kept us updated on walks with photos and messages and we knew our girl was safe with her. Janelle has watched our dogs (3 basset hounds) and our kitty for us multiple times! She also house sat at the same time (for a week) while we were on vacation! She sent pictures and updates often, made sure our babies were well taken care of, and even cleaned the house for us! We would definitely recommend Janelle for any pet and house needs you may have! She’s truly a sweetheart and very easy to work with.

I will always do my best to ensure the pup’s safety is a priority! I generally won’t do walks when it’s below -20C, or above +20C, but I will stop in and let the dog out or play in the yard if requested. I will always ask about where necessary things are located in the home, any allergies, and any other important info to have about your precious pup. I will not spend more time in your home aside from doing the dog tasks, and I will always lock the door/garage when I’m done.

I just like to know the general routine and anything to look out for!! Times of regular feeding/walking/playing will be kept consistent as much as possible! Please do let me know if the animal has aggressive tendencies or is not good around children/other animals/strangers
A typical day
Whatever the owner has discussed!! And whatever the pup enjoys of course :) I enjoy being able to assist with any training the owners have started and using food as a reinforcement. I live very close to parks/lakes/walking trails, off leash dog park close by, open empty fields as well!

I spend all my mornings dog walking! My schedule is very flexible and as long as I have notice ahead of time, I can usually make any arrangement work :)
