Hello, my name is Janeen. I've been pet sitting for 10 years and I love pets and animals so much that this is my career. I work in the pet world full-time, so you can rest assured that I have the knowledge and skills to take the best of care of your pet. I'm just now starting to build my on-line internet presence, so here's a bit about me. What I can provide for you is coming to your home to take care of your pet, where he'll feel most comfortable in his own surroundings. Whether you'd like for me to stay at your house to provide companionship and care for your pet (and making it look "lived-in" to deter unwanted people), or stopping by one or two times per day for feeding, playtime and walks, etc., we can work out a schedule to your liking. Potty pickup is included. I'm happy to help out with other things such as mail pickup, taking out trash, watering plants, and anything else you need done. I've worked in the pet retail business for 5 years and my passion is continual learning about animal care for all kinds. I've helped hundreds (if not thousands!) of people with their concerns, questions and problems, ranging from nutrition issues to potty training and more. My forte is plugging people in with the local pet resources they're looking for or need, and I'm here to help you! If you have animals other than dogs, I am uniquely qualified to care for them as well. In the past I was blessed with the experience of working at a small zoo, where I provided care and cleanup for exotics such camels, porcupines, lemurs, camels and kangaroos & wallabies. Currently I routinely care for much less exotic pets, but am very experienced in care for not only dogs and cats, but also small animals (hamsters, mice and rats, chinchillas and ferrets), birds (from finches, parakeets & lovebirds up to caiques, African greys, cockatoos and macaws) and reptiles (lizards such as bearded dragons, geckos, iguanas and chameleons, turtles & tortoises, and snakes). I am also experienced in aquatics, having maintained fresh water aquariums for most of my life, and salt water for the last few years. Since helping animals is my passion, I've taken care of feral cat colonies for the past 20 years, doing Trap-Neuter-Release and ongoing care for various colonies around town. You can rest assured that I am no 'start up, new to the pet sitting world' person. I come to you loaded with knowledge and years of experience, and am eager to provide a wonderful, fun, loving pet sitting stay with your pet!
