Pet care experience
I have owned two adorable cats for the past 14 years and a much loved Cavalier King Charles spaniel for 13 years prior to that. I’m a mature lady who loves all animals and who enjoys walking - so equally at home out for a stroll or sitting indoors with a cat on my knee!

I met Jane a few days before she was due to stay here to care for a Betsy. I felt most comfortable with her and felt I could trust her completely. I've never left Betsy with anyone before, apart from family. Jane sent me a photo of herself with my dog and I knew that it would be a happy story.

I’m so happy with the care and skill with which Jane looked after my 2 cats during twice-daily drop-ins at home in Layton. She is experienced and thorough and I really felt that the cats were in good hands whilst I was away. I returned to happy, contented (and properly medicated) kitties and the whole process was seamless for them and me. Jane followed all my instructions and has a keen eye to notice if anything is wrong or needs any attention. Getting daily photos of the cats and updates from her was a delight! We all know that cats rule the roost so I’ll happily fit in with their demands (!) Dogs will be walked, fed and cuddled in line with your instructions.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs - dietary or otherwise. I am not great at giving oral meds (unless in food) but I give excellent cuddles!
A typical day
I prefer to walk other folks’ dogs on a lead unless you advise me they are 100% certain to come back when called. It’s a big responsibility looking after other people’s animals and I would hate anything to happen to them whilst in my care. However, if I’m in a safe, enclosed space with no other dogs around I’m happy to throw a ball and play games etc.

Availability
I took early retirement two years ago so have plenty of free time to care for your cats and canines. I can’t accommodate them at my home at present as my own cat wouldn’t like it but she is an old lady now and sleeps a lot - and is self sufficient if I’m away for the occasional night. I can’t really do long term house sitting unless I have the flexibility to nip to my home in Fleetwood as I have my own cat to feed but she is self sufficient for occasional nights and short breaks. Overnights are fine provided your pets can be left for the odd hour or two during the day. I do enjoy my holidays and occasional weekend breaks but, given sufficient notice, I can fit my life around your requirements.
