All my life, I've been surrounded by various types of animals. My childhood home had dogs, cats and birds. As a young adult 13 years ago, I adopted two cats. First, Oliver needed a home because his owner was moving. Six months later, I decided he would like company and Ashley "chose" me to bring her home. These two kitties were my saving grace when coming home to an empty apartment. I was never alone, thanks to their love and companionship. Nine years ago, I adopted my very own puppy, Cassie. At the time, she was a fraction of the size of both cats! She is so affectionate and a great antidote after a difficult day. I also have experience caring for chickens, birds, fish, frogs and small mammals. I would be more than happy to learn how to look after another type of pet as well. I have administered oral medication to dogs, cats and a bird. Whenever I witness a loose dog roaming my neighborhood, I do my best to detain the dog and contact its owners. I even carry a spare leash in my car for this situation. I'll give your special pet the same love, respect and ear scratches, as you would, because I understand how precious these family members truly are.
