Pet care experience
I love running/walking/jogging with dogs. I run at least 5k everyday on my own and would love to take a furry companion with me! I have had 2 dogs - a chihuahua mix (5yrs) and a Jindo (13 yrs) and currently have an Australian Cattle/German shepherd/husky mix named Sherlock (2yrs) and babysit an adorable Italian greyhound on occasion as I’ve adopted him as my stepson lol. My dog Sherlock has had special needs since I adopted her from a rescue so I have some experience working with a very high anxiety, easily stressed dog with a number of ailments. I live in a house with many animals with different temperaments (a lab mix, an Alaskan Malamute, 2 cats) and help to take care of them. I’m comfortable around all kinds of animals and enjoy cuddle and play time with cats and dogs.

Jane is one of the few people I trust to take care of my boy, Enzo. She's incredibly caring, nurturing and responsible. I know that Enzo will be eating well and getting plenty of exercise, attention and affection. He loves being with her so much I often feel that he may never want to come home!
I’ve known Jane for a number of years and she has had a good number of pets from hamsters, bunnies, to three dogs. She loves animals and it shows in her care for her own pets as well as others’. Not only does she have a lot of experience with dogs, she stays up to date with information regarding the care that is needed for a dog. For her current dog I know she put in hours of research and spoke with many professionals to take care of her dog. She knows how to be firm with the dog when needed, but does so with patience and understanding. She also knows how to have fun with her dog and keep her engaged- by dressing her up for the holidays and taking her out hiking. I definitely recommend Jane to give some care to your furry friend.
Jane is someone you can trust with the most important thing in the world: your dog's life. Okay, and yours, too (she's my emergency contact person for everything, lol). Jane has Dog Whisperer powers that make every dog she meets fall in love with her and want to follow her around. (Seriously, a few weeks ago a lost dog followed and happily ran alongside her for 5 miles during one of her runs, after which she took the dog home, cared for it, and tracked down its owners for a joyful reunification later that very night.) I've seen dogs both big and small that are anxious or unfriendly with other people cling to her because they intuitively TRUST and feel safer around her. I've even had the joy of meeting a handful of those doggos myself: a chihuahua italian greyhound mix that barely tolerates me but follows Jane around to the bathroom and cuddles on her lap in bed; a huge anxious malamute that could knock a grown man down with a greeting but sits calmly in her presence; a high energy lab that eagerly greets her and knows a reliable human is here; and Jane's own high energy, high anxiety aussie shepherd aussie cattle dog mix that I have tired myself out trying to take on walks, but who Jane is able to handle daily with plenty of exercise and affection. Simply put, Jane loves dogs, and dogs love her, but they also respect her as well. As a longtime pet owner who has experience with both cats and dogs, Jane shows deep, loving care to every pet she's ever encountered, whether that interaction lasts for 5 miles on a single run or for a pet's entire lifespan of 15+ years. This combination of her strong energy, responsibility, and compassion makes both animals (and people!) feel safe and cared for when she's around. Your dog is truly in good hands with her.

I like exploring new places where they allow dogs and have gone to numerous hikes and parks with my dog Sherlock throughout Southern California. I also enjoy going to the dog beach and playing chase and fetch with my furry buddies!

I work full time so I’m available in the later evenings on weekdays to drop by and check in on a pet and see how they’re doing. I’m available on some weekends.
