I let dogs roam free around the apartment. Will usually have 4 potty breaks per day as I will be taking the dogs along with my own. He’s a puppy so still cannot hold their pee as much. Mornings we will walk 30-60 minutes and potty breaks are generally 5 minutes. Night time walks are generally 60 minutes. A lot of walking and exercise as I have a husky. We have a water at all times as I don’t want to restrict them if they get thirsty.
