I had never left my puppy Archie even overnight before and was terrified to leave him anywhere for an 8-day family vacation. I sincerely almost canceled the vacation because I had originally booked a "high-end pet hotel" and then found out what actually goes on there... Less than a week before my vacation my husband found Jane, who I was delighted to hear worked from home, and could be with my boy all the time like I would be. We went over to meet her and introduce Archie and stayed for maybe an hour talking and playing with the pups (She has one small dog). Her daughter Jenna was so sweet and volunteers with animals so it really made me feel like Archie would get plenty of love. Still being the helicopter mom that I am I arranged a trial day to make sure Archie would fair well in her home. We ended up booking Jane for our vacation and I'm glad we did. She was very patient and kind with my anxiety and sent me all the updates and pictures I could want. She was able to administer his medicine and you could tell she really enjoyed spoiling my boy. We even skyped mid-week so I could see that sweet puppy face and she was taking him on long walks to wear him out. He was actually better on his leash when we got him back! I would definitely recommend Jane and her family and use them in the future. If you are a helicopter pet parent with high standards I really feel like this was a great environment. I think Archie misses them and often sleeps with a toy she sent home with him.
