I grew up with Labradors, but I love dogs of all sizes – so much so that I found a way to volunteer at a local shelter even while holding down a job with rigorous overtime. But now my schedule is more flexible, so that's no longer a challenge. I've had experience with it all: bath time, fetch, house training, leash tugging, and dreaded mess cleaning. I have looked after the pups (and non-canine children) of my family friends since I was a pre-teen. I taught my parents' dog a few fun tricks, like pushing open doors – though we still have to work on closing them. I'm a dedicated advocate of organizations like ASPCA and Best Friends Animal Society, and I have no problems bully breeds. Just show me where their favorite toy is and we'll be all set! I'll also happily look after feline friends! As far as my experience with cats, I had my own domestic shorthair for 17 years until he passed in 2011, and recently rescued another kitty companion, Freya, in July 2018. DOG SIZE: I'll be just as eager to take care of your "Giant"/XL pooch, but if they are especially strong and tend to bolt or pull on the leash then for walks you might want to consider another handler. ABOUT MY SCHEDULE: I'm currently searching for a full-time job, so if you need a long-term sitter/walker please be aware that I may switch from being available on weekdays to only weeknights and weekends. But I'm happy to be the understudy to your main sitter, or take care of your pets while you look for the perfect longer-term hire!
