Hi, I’m Jan! I run a business from my home and would love to spend time keeping your pet company! I have two fun, loving dogs (a Red Heeler cattle dog and an Australian Kelpie) and know exactly how it feels to leave your beloved family member for work or vacation. With my flexible schedule and dog-friendly home, I can care for your pet at my place or yours. One thing that’s unique about me is that I have hearing loss. Living with hearing loss has given me a strong work ethic and passion for what I do. It has also made me a person who never gives up! Hearing loss has taught me to use all my other senses. Dogs, for example, convey so much with the twitch of an ear or the glance of an eye. I have learned to be a keen observer of both animals and people. Hearing loss has also helped me become an excellent communicator. And another bonus: I don’t mind barking! I love to cook, exercise, play with my dogs, and be creative when I’m feeling artistic! And, of course, I love to be surrounded by happy animals. Pet sitting is truly inspiring for me, because it allows me to be around some of the purest, most joyous animals on the planet.
