Pet care experience
I have owned dogs most of my life. My dogs have always been well behaved and happy. I trained dogs for a time in Washington DC. I was hands on part owner of a doggie day care in the Seattle area for 3 years. I was responsible for admitting the dogs each morning; completing paperwork; exercising and cleaning up after them. I had good working rapport with the dog owners and the dogs loved me. I am currently retired and available for dog sitting in the doggie's home. To date, I have been hired to dog sit in a home in Seattle, with a young dog who was injured and required special care; daily walked a small dog in Olympia, and daily cared for two dogs in their home in Murrietta, CA; among others.

Jan was great with our dog Neko while we were away for 10 days, especially given that he was medically fragile when our trip was scheduled. Her attentiveness toward Neko clearly helped him continue his recovery. She sent us frequent updates when requested and called when she had any questions or concerns. Most importantly, when we got back, Neko barely acted as if we had left. I can't imagine a better endorsement than that, so Neko gives Jan 5 stars and so do we. We'll definitely look to use Jan when we're away in the future.
Jan has always treated our dog like family. She is flexible with our schedule and even offered to come over to give mid-day medicine to our pooch when he was having tummy troubles. Her experience as a former doggie day care owner gave us piece of mind that she really knows what she's doing. Great lady!
