Loving and active pet sitter!

Pet care experience

I have grown up around dogs and helped people train their dogs over the years. Particularly in recent years, as many of my friends in their mid twenties and early thirties have gotten dogs, I have spend a massive amount of time helping dog sit. Last summer I spent a total of two whole months dog sitting for my roommate and neighbor! I love spending time with dogs and can ensure that your dog will be loved, cared for, and well exercised during your time away :)

Jamison did a fantastic job. Salem was happy and we'll cared for. The house was tidy when we returned and all the plants were thriving. Would have no hesitation booking again.

We could not have asked for better care for our four legged family member! She got a ton of attention, plenty of cuddles, and we picked her up happy as can be. We highly recommend Jamison for sitting/boarding and we will use his services again should the need arise.

Jamison was great with Rufus and extremely accommodating to my crazy work schedule. He is a quick and responsive communicator and I felt that Rufus was in good hands! Will definitely work with Jamison again.

Jamison was flexible and very good with our dogs, one of whom is elderly and needs special attention. We would be glad to have Jamison take care of our dogs in the future.

Safety, trust & environment

I like to plan my day out with dogs so that I can ensure they are well fed, exercised and rested. Depending on the breed and size of the dog the schedule can vary, but a normal day with say a medium sized, young energetic lab would include going to the park to play fetch/ socialize, at least two walks that could last 30 minutes to an hour, and down time watching movies or indoor hanging with the dog. If a client has specific preferences on how they would like their dogs day to go, I can follow to a tee whatever the client's needs are! No matter what, your dog will know that it is loved and be well taken care of during your time away.

Information Jamison O. would like to know about your pet

The most important pieces of information to know about a dog ahead of time are as follows: 1. Medical history: to know if the dog has any medical conditions, allergies, etc... 2.Diet: to know what food to provide them with and how much they should be consuming on a daily basis. This also includes what times the dog should be fed. 3. Exercise needs: Different breeds have different exercise requirements, so it is important to know how much exercise is needed and how often so they can stay healthy and happy everyday. 4. Temperament: to know how they may react in certain situations and ensure prevention of any issues with other dogs or people. 5. Behavioral issues: to know about any issues like separation anxiety, fear of certain objects, etc... to ensure I can provide an appropriate environment for the dogs. I believe these to be the 5 most important pieces of information to know about a dog before I take care of them.

A typical day

Bringing dogs to places where they can express themselves and let out their energy is very important to ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing. Depending on the level of structure required by the dog, I will take them to parks with designated dog areas, hiking trails, the beach, dog friendly breweries, and simply for a leashed walk around the neighborhood. My favorite places to take dogs in Bellingham are Squalicum Dog Park and Lake Padden Dog Park.
