I have one indoor cat and one who prefers to be outside. I can walk dog to use the restroom on a leash and they will be inside otherwise. I have a gate on my porch so they can lay on the porch if they want fresh air.

A typical day
We have a very large yard so we can play fetch the stick or frizzbees. We go on a mile walk in the evening and the dog can walk along with us.
