Safety, trust & environment
When I am asked by clients for an overnight stay, I do everything I can to make your pet feel safe and comfortable. Depending on their personality, we can play, walk to a nearby dog park, or cuddle on the couch - whatever your pet prefers!
Information Jamie M. would like to know about your pet
Pet name(s), gender(s), age(s). Food and water needs. Grooming and/or cleaning needs. Personality - cuddler? favorite toys and games? wary of strangers? triggers? Medications. Key pick up/drop off. Housesitting details (mail, plants, lights, etc.) Correspondence with updates?
A typical day
Dogs - We'll go on multiple walks a day, with at least one longer walk - perhaps to a new location or favorite dog park. We can play with toys, earn treats, and save time for ear scratches or belly rubs. Cats - Meal time will always be on schedule, as I know that's important to a lot of my feline friends. We can play with a favorite mouse toy, spend time cuddling, or - if your cat is the shy, independent type - allow them their space to explore and nap as they please.

Pet care experience
My name is Jamie and I am an avid animal person! I’ve been taking care of others’ pets or my own for nearly my entire life and I would love to talk to you about taking care of your furry friends. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm located in New Windsor, NY, nearby Washingtonville and Cornwall and a short drive from Newburgh. I am extremely passionate about animal welfare. I recently adopted two cats, Obie and Leanne, who are the best furry companions! Before bringing them into my life I had two beloved pets, Bandit (tabby cat, passed away at 18 years in 2020) and Whipple (American Eskimo/Shepherd mix, passed away at 14 years in 2016), both of which were rescued from shelters in California. I take a lot of pride in the fact that all of my pets are healthy, happy, and incredibly loved members of my family. Currently I volunteer at Reheart Rescue (formerly Reenie's Rabbit Rescue), where I'm learning more about caring for rabbits and guinea pigs, in addition to helping care for the cats they have up for adoption. Previously, I volunteered with the Montclair, NJ Township Animal Shelter and while living in San Diego, I volunteered with Shelter Pet Partners for five years. During my time volunteering there, I fostered and helped find loving homes for several kittens, cats, and dogs. I have experience with pets of all ages and temperaments and am comfortable administering medications. I have excellent references and am looking forward to providing excellent care for your pets!
Reviews

Jamie is fantastic with both my dog and my cat and it is always a comfort knowing they are in her care.

This was Millie’s very first overnight stay without us — a big deal for our 11-month old Cavalier! Jaime followed her routine beautifully, took her out frequently, and checked in a few times per day with photos and updates. She handled everything with warmth and care. Our home and our girl were in the best hands. Highest recommendation!

jamie did such a great job with my pups! she was very communicative and caring.

My fur kid seemed super happy during the walk and she seemed super happy to me.
