In my experience, it's imperative to know the dog's temperament around other animals, children and males. Many dogs I've cared for are adopted and may have certain triggers. Ideally, I'd prefer a dog that is leash trained and has good recall. It makes the experience smoother and less traumatic for all when the obedience training has already begun or has been completed. I'M NOT A DOG TRAINER! I use clicker training for reinforcement. In the effort to keep all animals and individuals safe, I do require all current/up to date vaccinations. No puppies under the age of 4 mos. and dogs in heat are allowed in most city dog parks.

Drop ins include 30 minutes of letting the dog out for a potty break/play time in your yard or on leash if you don't have a fenced yard, and then feeding and water change if needed. Drop ins don't include a full 30 minute walk, if you wanted that it would be a different service. If interested in a 30 min walk, you'll schedule for the dog walking service. If you'd like your dog to have a leashed hike longer than 30 min, an additional fee is assessed. Standard dog walking (30 min) is performed within the client's neighborhood. For dog walking beyond 30 min, I take dogs on various trails within a 20 mile radius of Des Moines. (Yellow Banks, Waterworks, Clive Greenbelt, Saylorville, Thomas Mitchell, etc).
