Looking for exceptional pet-care?
Pet care experience
If you're in search of someone who will care for and love your pet as much as you do, you've found the right person! I'm a big-time animal lover who's grown up with dogs and cats my entire life (horses as well until I was 10). I have owned toy dog breeds all the way up to giant, easy-going to reactive, and passive to dominant. All dogs are unique (just like us!) and deserve to have their individual needs met—it's our duty as pet parents and pet lovers. I'm a business consultant who works from home and am able to provide the individualized attention and love your dog needs throughout the day. I have 2 easy-going and friendly dogs of my own, Davina, a 9-month-old English Mastiff and Marley, a 17-year-old Chihuahua. Before boarding your dog with me I require a meet and greet for our dogs to ensure they get along. This is also a great time for us to go over any questions or instructions you may have to make time away from your pup as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I also require crate trained pups (for their safety—no chewing/choking or otherwise harming themselves while being unsupervised) if boarding with me during weekdays as I need to leave the house for a few hours a day to take care of my other furry clients! I’m flexible on crate trained dogs during the weekend because either me or my fiancé are always home to watch over them. I do not use pesticides or fertilizers in the yard, I use non toxic, pet-safe cleaners on the floors and all dog toys are non toxic and BPA free. I use toddler mattresses in place of dog beds and I also allow dogs on all furniture as well as in bed. The bed can get crowded with me, my fiancé and two dogs, so if your dog typically sleeps in bed with you and likes space, I will spend the night with them in the guest room. If your dog is dog aggressive I won't be able to provide boarding. However, I can provide drop-in visits and walks if you have a dog or people aggressive dog. If your dog is people aggressive I require a meet and greet (or a few) in order to build a relationship with them while you are present before visiting on my own (I'm also happy to do this even if your dog has no aggression issues). A few breeds that I have experience with that have had aggression issues are South African Boerboels, Rottweilers and American Bulldogs. Each and every visit or walk with your dog or cat you can expect a thorough pup/cat-date! This includes visit notes, distance and location walked, potty/water/food breaks as well as some glamour shots! Take a look at the last few photos in my profile to get an idea of the kind of photos you can expect from me! If you’re interested in integrative medicine—modern paired with holistic—I’m passionate in this area. Though I’m not a medical professional I can help you brainstorm/research issues that you can then bring to your vet. This is something I practice regularly in my personal life and have had great success with and I’m more than happy to do the same for you and your pup!
Reviews
Jaime is awesome. She is so kind to all my little buddies. She has been very flexible and comes when I have to work late or get a sudden schedule change. Willy loves her and I’m so secure he will be fine when in her care.
Jamie is wonderful with Maisie with EVERY walk. 💚
Jamie is the best! Maisie considers her apart of the family at this point.
Jamie is FANTASTIC

Information Jamie K. would like to know about your pet
—What's your pet-care philosophy (I'm adaptable and happy to adopt your style)? Mine is to be attentive and empathetic, gentle yet firm, never to punish beyond a tone change and the word "no" and to train with positive reinforcement. I don't allow my dogs to walk up to other people or dogs without permission from people and dog owners first. My home is a safe haven where dogs are allowed to make themselves as comfortable as I do—meaning access to the fenced-in backyard and indoors whenever they want, access to attention, play and walks as they wish, and couch and bed lounging is never off-limits. —What rewards does your dog prefer? Certain treats, toys or praise—or all 3? —Is your dog trained (including house trained)? If so, what commands do they know? If not, I’m happy to work on training your dog (basic commands, walking on leash and potty training for puppies) during my visit and/or your dogs stay at no additional cost. —Does your dog have any triggers—squirrels, birds, cars, loud noises, etc (my Mastiff is most excited by other dogs so I ask her to sit as one approaches and I don’t allow her to interact until I say OK). How do you respond to your dog's triggers and what are the best strategies for dealing/disengaging with them. —Is your dog shy or reactive? I know how hard it can be to deal with either and the anxiety that can come from leaving them in someone else's care—I've owned pets who fall all over the spectrum. I'm committed to building a relationship with your dog so they can get acclimated before visits. I’m also committed to training and working on reducing their reactivity. —What are your dog's dietary requirements? Do they have any allergies or food that should be off-limits? How many times a day should they be fed and at what times? My dogs' diets are very important to me and I will respect your dogs food requirements as much as I'd want someone to respect mine. My dogs eat completely raw. My Chihuahua eats twice a day with around 10 supplements and my Mastiff eats 3 times a day with a few supplements. Rest assured I will follow your feeding instructions to the T! —Any additional information about you and your dog's preferences are welcome and greatly appreciated. No one knows your dog better than you and you are their biggest advocate. I will rely on the information you provide to make sure each and every visit or stay is as positive and enjoyable as possible for you and your pup!
A typical day
I have a fenced in backyard and a wooded park right behind it! So your dog can enjoy romping around the yard, leashed adventures through the park and neighborhood, as well as plenty of playtime with toys throughout the day. If there are specific events or locations you know your dog enjoys I'm happy to visit them with your pup as well. My fiancé and I like to take our Mastiff to the Shaker Heights Pack Walk on Saturday mornings. If your pup is up for it we’d be happy to take them as well! If not, no worries, I will stay home and keep them company!
