I have grown up with dogs, and my family emphasized patience and positive training for a well-behaved dog. I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments and I believe in patience and positive reinforcement. I have a 3-year-old Siberian Husky at home, so I can definitely handle even the big, strong, independent dogs who love to pull. I use a gentle leader to run with him because it reminds him not to take off like Sonic the Hedgehog, and a doggie backpack when he needs to feel like he has a job to do. I also have a 9 week old Collie so I know pups too, and I'm taking her to puppy kindergarten! My hope is that she can become a certified Therapy Dog so we can bring joy to those who need it! I am continually learning as much as I can about positive dog training. My sister and I frequently socialize her fearful little cattle dog and my bossy husky together. I am not a professional dog trainer, and so far I have only walked my own or my family's dogs. However, I love dogs and they have always been a big part of my life. I love walking with dogs, even the ones that pull left and right and run between your legs. When I had a full-time job I know how terrible I felt leaving my dogs, and now that I'm a stay at home mom I want to help other dog parents out. Every dog deserves a daily walk!
