Friends and family would say I have a sixth sense... a natural ability to connect with almost any dog. The shy, quiet types curl up in my lap without hesitation, and the aggressive, territorial types greet me with wagging tails and lots of kisses. It is definitely a gift I am grateful for, as I have never met a dog I didn't fall in love with, as well. It doesn't matter what size or breed your fur baby is. He/she will receive lots of love and attention in your absence, guaranteed. If you're looking for someone to just come in, feed your dog, and leave, I am not your gal. Most dogs suffer from separation anxiety when their mommies and daddies leave, and I personally cannot handle or ignore seeing loneliness in a dog's eyes. No sad faces when I'm around! I am an honest, loyal, up front kind of person who will take excellent care of your babies while you are away. I have many years of experience sitting for everyday families with one or two dogs, as well as breeders/show dog families that consist of 8 to 15 dogs, and doggy foster families that are forever changing. My experience dates back to my preteen years when family, friends, and neighbors began to witness my love for animals blossoming right along with an unusually high level of responsibility and maturity that most people don't exhibit until much later in life. In fact, at the age of around 6 or 7, I inherited the nickname "little mother" because I took in every homeless or injured dog, bird, rat, snake, bunny, or squirrel that I came across. I still do. I live in Parker and work for a busy surgeon in McKinney, so I can be available on weekday evenings for drop-in appointments or walks, within a ten mile radius of those two cities. That is, if I'm not already booked for an overnight stay with another client. Overnight stays will include morning, evening, and overnight care, unless you live in the McKinney/Allen/Frisco area, which can include an additional potty break during my lunch hour. Excellent references will be provided upon request! Why I love dog sitting I am a lover of all animals, but I'm especially crazy about dogs. There has never been a time in my life that I didn't have at least one dog, until just recently. I lost my precious little poodle girl, Willow, and my heart is still very raw. She left a massive hole in my spirit and in my life, and I'm just not ready to take on another baby, just yet. In the meantime, I find comfort and healing in loving on the pups that belong to friends, family, and clients. My time will come again, someday. There truly is nothing like the love of a dog. My experience administering medication Very comfortable. One of the families I currently sit for is a doggy foster family. These poor babies have been abused and neglected and suffer from a wide range of illnesses, as a result. Administering medication, therefore, is a necessity and something I've become accustomed to.
