Pet care experience
I recently adopted a kitten from the humane shelter and he would love some socializing. He came from a hoarding situation with 11 siblings and I think becoming an only child has made him a little lonely. He’s good with both cats and dogs and knows how to hide if things get too intense for him. I’ve had cats my whole life and did have a very lovable and well behaved German shepherd in my life for a few years. I enjoyed my time getting to know and love the dog and would enjoy that same opportunity with your best friend as well.

I know Jamie from work, she works in the sports medicine department at IUP. She has a great work ethic and is very reliable as a professional. She has been working with her dog that she adopted from the shelter and from what I have seen she has been doing a fantastic job. She takes her dog ownership seriously and does her research just as she does in her profession. I recommend Jamie to take good care of your pet needs!

I’ve recently purchased a home in Indiana County out of town just 2 miles. The house came with an acre of land that is both wooded and grassy for dog exploration. The house is single story, and can be easily sectioned off if the animals need space throughout their time here and I don’t mind pet cuddles on the couch :) there is a baby gated porch if they like to have some time outdoors and I have a tether in the yard for secured playtime.

I do not agree with stereotyping dogs on their breeds, so I would never turn down a dog because they resemble a certain breed. All dogs should be given a chance to adapt and learn. If you are in the middle of training something please let me know so that I can continue your hard work! I know all about the long haul of training and know that setbacks are difficult. I have experience working with my previous dog, a German shepherd, on behavior control and manners, so if you have something you would like me to continue working on with your pup for you please let me know.
A typical day
Obviously Indiana has great places to get a few miles in each day. I also don't mind transporting in my car to a new walking location if that interests you or your pup!

Availability
I work at the university, so I actually have my summers completely off. I am free all day every day unless I am traveling myself. I enjoy daily exercise and would love to do that with your pet pupper in tow.
