I love adventuring with my dog, and would love to bring your dog along! I've lived in Lake Tahoe for 5 years. I believe having a happy dog means having a healthy and active lifestyle that the dog can also take part in. I ski, bike, swim, hike, and run with my dog while working remote from home. I grew up fostering dogs with my family, raised 2 dogs, and now finally fulfilled my dream of having a dog of my own! I've watched numerous friends' dogs, and have extensive experience with caring for puppies as well as senior dogs.

Jamie is an amazing dogsitter all around. I greatly appreciate her responsiveness from the very beginning when I first reached out and more importantly the great care she provided my dog Phil. Phil is a large dog with lots of energy - not the easiest to manage. But he loved Jamie and Jamie did a wonderful job caring for him and making me feel at ease while we were away. She sent updates and pictures of our happy boy. I’d highly recommend her and will use her again whenever we are in town.
All you could ask for. Dogs were smiling the whole time we were gone; am fairly cetain they miss Jamie and the house was in great order upon return. Thanks Jamie!!!
Jamie has taken care of our dogs before. She is consistently reliable, communicative, and proactive. A couple of days prior to our booking Jamie was pro-active and reached out to confirm. It had been a number of weeks since Jamie last saw our dogs. She noticed our 14.5 year old Terrier has slowed down and was hard to get motivated to go for a walk. Jamie sent pictures & texts throughout the day so I knew our dogs were getting lots of love & attention. We look forward to working with Jamie again.
Jamie got back to me within 15 minutes of my initial inquiry. She was punctual for our "meet-n-greet" two days later. Jamie took good care of our two Terriers and was very communicative while we were away. We will definitely book Jamie for our future dog care needs.

It's important to me that your dog will feel comfortable in a new environment, since it can be stressful and anxiety-inducing for some dogs. I'm patient, detail-oriented, calm, and attentive. I believe dogs' mood and personalities reflect their surroundings, so it's important for me (and my dog) to set an example for yours.

I'll need to know if there are any special needs or behaviors that I should know about (i.e. reactivity, crate-training, recall, barking, etc). During the winter, dog-walking and day care services can include skiing with your dog in the backcountry. I will only bring out my dog and yours in safe conditions and in mild terrain when conditions permit. Your dog must have solid recall off-leash skills and no reactivity towards other dogs/humans.
A typical day
I'm happy to be as active or mellow as your dog prefers - trail running, biking, swimming, playing fetch, or just mellow walks around the neighborhood.

I'm a remote worker so I'm home all day to hang with your dog! I love being outside with my dog everyday, and would love to bring your pet(s) along as well if they are up for it.
