Pet care experience
I have lived with and taken care of, cats or dogs the majority of my life, and as an adult for close to 20 years. I have volunteered with local rescues as a dog handler to advocate on their behalf and inform potential adopters. I've been available to help people proceed worry free for their out-of town adventures knowing their animals will be cared for while they're away. I have an observant, gentle, animal-loving boy that would like to come along should your fur friend miss your children. I can keep things adult-oriented as well, if that is your family's preference. Our family includes 1 American Staffordshire Terrier, many freshwater fish, a ball python, and our recently departed hamster. RIP, Hamsey!

Should concerns arise, I will absolutely communicate them to you in a timely manner. I'll honor the diet plan you set forth for your pet and not over-treat them, unless you agree that it is an amenable method to soothe them in your absence.

Would like to know about separation anxiety, any leash/pet/toy aggression, along with medical needs to maintain their health and wellness. Mobility preferences: Do they like fast walks or slow walks? Long walks or short? Do they want to stop and smell the flowers or cover alot of distance on a straight haul? What makes them wag or purr and how can I best help them while you're away? Are there behavior triggers I should know about? Please let me know their specific needs.
A typical day
I'm happy to take your dog to their usual fire hydrants and lamp posts around your neighborhood. I ordinarily keep your dogs to myself and away from others while on walks. There's fun indoor activities that we can do as well like playing 'find it' with treats or 'hide and go seek', tug, or fetch. If they love cuddles and scratches I'm happy to oblige. For kitties, we can play with just about anything with string or feathers, or bring some fun new Amazon boxes that may appeal to them. I would always honor an animal's desire to engage in play or be left alone.
