Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs (2-3 in the house at a time!) and other animals (guinea pigs) and have always been responsible for feeding, walking, and giving medications. In the last 5 years, I have started dog sitting overnight in family and friend homes. I have experience sitting and walking a variety of types of dogs, including labs, pitbulls, goldendoodles, french bulldogs, and shepherds. I do not have a dog of my own yet, so all of my puppy-love is saved for your pup!

It was so hard to leave our dog for the first time since the pandemic but we were incredibly lucky to find Jamie to care for her. Jamie is mature, responsible and trustworthy (unlike our dog who has pooped in every room of the house since we returned, showing her obvious displeasure that we took a vacation :). I received immediate replies to my texts, photos every day, reports in as much detail as I wanted without being distracted on our trip and I just generally felt calm about leaving Jamie in our home with our (overly) loved dog. She gave Wiggle her allergy medication, and followed my instructions about what she likes to help her separation anxiety. When we returned, the house was spotless as we'd left it and Jamie had laundered the items she had used during the week. Her willingness to move in for that many days and work from home to stay with Wiggle was an amazing gift. We've had two other sitters from Rover and Jamie is the only one we'd hire again.
Jamie was amazing with our dogs! She took excellent care of our senior dog, giving him medications and TLC after a back injury. Our younger dog had a blast going on walks and playing with Jamie too. She's reliable, responsive, and great with animals. Highly recommend!

Anything important to you as your dog's owner is important to me too. I do have experience with dogs who are dog-aggressive, and it would also be helpful to know if your pooch has any triggers that make them stressed; cats, kids, loud noises, etc. (we don't want that of course!).
A typical day
As a young person who recently moved to the area, I would love to take your dog on any new adventures for me - like their favorite park! A win-win!

Availability
I currently work full time during the week on a hybrid schedule (with work from home Fridays). I am able to stay at client homes 24/7 (depending on timeframes) for pups who might struggle with separation anxiety when owners are away. Please reach out and we can chat about what you need! I am almost always available on weekends for sitting or dog walking (check out my calendar- I work to update it often)!
