I've cared for pets my entire life, mostly dogs and cats, but also hamsters, turtles, geckos, fish, hermit crabs, and bunnies. Even as a child I kept "vet records" on all my stuffed animal toys. I've been pet sitting for dogs of all sizes for over 30 years. I'm comfortable with giving medication if necessary. I believe consistency and routine can help reduce anxiety in dogs. I'll want to learn as much as possible about your routine, rules, and training commands so that my interactions with your dog feel "familiar" and safe to them while you're gone. I have two teenage boys, but my dogs are just as much my "kids". I've volunteered on animal charity boards and with rescue organizations. I'm the driver who stops traffic to help rescue a loose dog, finds home for stray cats and ugly cries at the ASPCA commercials. I know too well the anxiety and worried sick feeling when I leave my babies. I promise to take such good care of your animals that you won't have to experience that heartache and guilt when you're away. I just moved to Boise and am not working at this time. I am extremely flexible and available most any time 7 days/week, even on short notice. Unless in an emergency, I would give at least 14 days notice of any schedule change or unavailability. I have a fenced yard, with a dog door. We have two border collies. I'm not able to provide care in my home at this time.
