Pet care experience
As a cat parent, sitting for pups allows me to get my puppy fix - snugs, attention, and outdoor kinship (although I'm a fan of lazy cat days, too). I'm known as "Auntie JJ" for the pets in my life. I live in the Valley and love being outside, preferably with some fuzzy company! I find that pets seem more comfortable in their own homes, so I'm happy to check in on them and/or stay with them in their own home while you're away. As far as special accommodations go, as long as your pooch is friendly, I think we'll get along just fine. I've watched pups that have been pretty sick and/or older and we get along great (cancer, blind, older, separation anxiety, anxiety). I'm not too nervous about medications, wounds, bad digestion, etc. I'm pretty flexible on services, so let's chat before you head out of town.

Jamie was great. I have a guide dog that is very precious to me and needed to be watched while I skied. She was punctual and friendly. She took great care of my dog and even took him on a little tour of Snowmass. I felt comfortable leaving my $7000 guide dog who is very important to me with her.
Jami was a wonderful sitter for our old dog Willy over the Christmas and New Year period. We had daily updates from her, with photos, and she really took care of our apartment and most importantly Willy. I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.

We loved Jami!! She took such good care of our dog, Piper. I felt very lucky to have found her. She took Piper on adventures everyday. Walks, hikes and more. It made our vacation stress free! Daily pictures were sent to us and we could tell Piper was having a great time. Highly recommend!

I'm a pretty big rule follower, so keeping them in sight at all times and being on a leash is important. I recommend having an emergency contact on file before you head out of town (vet contact, friendly neighbor, etc.) if needed, as well as extra supplies (food, medication) available in case your plans are delayed. If staying in your home, rest assured it will also be taken care of. I'll be considerate of your personal space and leave it better than how it was when I arrived.

A typical day
I'm up for almost anything your pup might be into. Does your pooch like to play fetch? Me, too! Does your pooch like to go on long hikes? Me, too! Does your pooch like to go on runs through the neighborhood and meet other fuzzy friends? Me, too! How about snuggling up on the couch for a good romcom? Me, too! Your pooch can pick an adventure and I'm on board.

Availability
I work another job outside of Rover, traditionally Monday-Thursday. I have a flexible remote schedule most of the time, so can work around schedules often. If I'm at the office, it's in Basalt. I'm also usually not working my day job Friday- Sunday.
