Pet care experience
Hello, I'm James(31m) and ready to work with your pets as my secondary work. I charge $20 for ½ hour walk or drop-in, and add $8 to bump them up to an hour. $50 per day ($25 half day) house-sitting altho sometimes I'm out 8 hours at a time for my work day (8am-4pm) ((off every other weekend). I excel at listening to your expectations and adding some surprises like occasional photo print-gifts and some light house-cleaning. We will discuss your specific needs, but I'm prepared to help dogs learn new things like leash training, socializing with strangers and strange-dogs, and I can handle obnoxious dogs. House sitting:. I will watch your dogs and house while you are out of town. I don't usually sleepover, but visit 3 to 5 times a day (as discussed at greeting) 630am to 830pm. Doggy daycare: like child care, this is for daily watching of your animal while you are at work, and is subject to availability (must meet requirements to stay at my house) arrangements can be discussed for who is picking up and dropping off the dog. My home has a shorter fence (chest height) and doggy door to go out back, please inform of escape-artist behavior.
Reviews
James is the best! He took great care of Kris and Smokey…and went above and beyond without being asked. When they didn’t take their food as usual, he took the initiative to crush and mix in their treat to make it more appealing. He played with them patiently and made sure they received enough attention. He even cleaned up, brought our mail in, and picked up after the dogs. James also gave us the peace of mind we needed. He provided regular updates and photos. Would definitely hire him again!
James was absolutely phenomenal in every way! Our GSD Ricky can be a little rough to handle given his lack of social skills, but that didn’t deter James in the slightest. He handled both the cat and dog with utmost professionalism, and I will absolutely be checking in with James in the future for any pet sitting needs! Absolutely worth every penny! Thank you so so much!
James is awesome with our GSD! Ricky got a great socialization walk in today and he is officially pooped! Thank you James!
James was so kind and patient with my dogboy Gus who has a lot of anxiety and panics when left alone, so James was great company for him at our hotel while I attended an event. I knew Gus was in good hands.

I would like to have an interview to see if we can negotiate a deal; I am very flexible, so let's get in contact and figure it out. Prices can be negotiated if your visit requires particularly specific details or unruly behavior. I'm not shy about declining business for opportunities that are not ideal, almost all of my bookings are generally pretty uneventful, and I occasionally have to decline business for conflicting schedules, anyway; It's a good practice to have a trusting business relationship with 2 or 3 Rover sitters at the same time so that you can find scheduling when necessary, I can help potential clients with recommendations, even. It's not typically my business to reprimand any dogs - If they misbehave, I will handle it positively because my services are mostly for keeping your pet happy while he or she is away from you, it's kind of like their vacation as well!~
Information James W. would like to know about your pet
Information to know ahead of time: Behavioral problems, I can handle them, but please disclose. Medications. The activity level of the animal, for instance, how long does it like to exercise, any old injuries to watch? Allergies, and where the animal is allowed to roam in the house.
A typical day
Owners use rover to have individualized care of their pets, instead of leaving them at a facility where they are just a number. The care for your animal will be to your expectations, sometimes that involves multiple 30-60 minute visits per day with an "hours unsupervised" limit, other times I stay overnight and spend several hours watching the house I'm adept at entertaining dogs, and after we chat and I have a good idea of what your dog likes best, I'm sure we can all have a positive experience. If doggy drop-ins don't require a lot of exercise, I often clean up around the yard - poops, leafs, or whatever needs attention. On most of my visits, I can tell what the animal wants most and we kinda go from there, lots of walks and toys.
