For drop in visits and overnights, I am prompt, having multiple reliable means of transportation as well as my own vehicle. I am conscientious of privacy, security, safety and good, positive care for the animals while respecting the client's personal preferences. I recognize I am on the animal's turf, a guest in the client's home, and act accordingly. For dog walks, I am a fast walker and love to get to know animals this way. I am strong and flexible, so when an animal pulls on the lead I have a lot of experience in handling large animals safely and effectively. I apply the same principles of respect in these cases. Safety is number one in working with animals, and I take even a walk around the block very seriously. I myself was raised taking care of animals in both a suburban (dogs) environment and farm (cows, llamas, chickens, dogs, cats) environments. I have had two of my own dogs. I have also rescued a cat in the past and helped raise her before getting her to a good family.
