I have six years experience caring for dogs as a volunteer at a kennel and training center. My primary duties as a volunteer were to walk, feed, and bathe the clients. After one year of study, I was also asked to assist with training the clients when the business owner was ill or there were more dogs than she could handle. It was with this small, family-owned business that I learned dogs are as much the client as their pet parent and that they must be treated with as much respect and care as a person. On top of my already strong passion for dogs, they instilled me with the knowledge and patience to care for dogs effectively, regardless of background or temperament. Dogs aren't just pets. They're family, and I couldn't treat them any other way.
