Pet care experience
My name is Taryn, and I am currently a PhD candidate working from home most days. I would love to walk, watch, care for, and entertain your pets. I have experience with my own pet cats, big dogs, little dogs, dogs with anxiety and health issues, and shelter animals (volunteering). I can board your pet while you travel or simply take your dog for a walk or make a care visit for your cat. Please do not hesitate to get in contact with me if you have any questions . Taryn has been amazing! She's been walking my dog for many weeks almost every day Monday through Friday. She's extremely thoughtful and caring with my pup. She's always very flexible on their walks and makes sure my dog doesn't get too exhausted especially when it's been so hot lately. She always goes above and beyond. She keeps me updated after every walk and sends me pics of my pup which always makes my day. She and James have also stayed at my house with my dog when I was out of town. I trust her and James completely. I highly recommend her for your pet needs, she's honestly the best. I can't imagine having another dog walker she's completely spoiled both my pup and me!
James has watched my dog on several occasions. He follows care instructions well and and is thorough in his duties. My dog has separation anxiety and needs multiple doses of medicine each day and James did everything with her perfectly. I would highly recommend having him be your dog sitter.

I like to get to know each pet’s strengths and weaknesses, likes and dislikes. I am gentle with the timid types and firm but kind with the more rebellious-natured pets. My primary concern is your pet’s safety and comfort. For in-home stays, I like to keep your pet’s routine to manage their stress. I’m more than happy to go on long walks and play their favorite games.

A typical day
Regular walks and play activities are a typical part of my day with a pet. I prefer to take a dog on a walk in a place that is familiar to them, whether that be their neighborhood or a nearby park. Routine can be key.

Availability
I currently work from home and have plenty of flexibility in my schedule. I am happy to be of service when needed or on a more routine basis. I would request at least 24 hours notice; however, I may be available with less notice as well. Please feel free to check with me.
