Hi my name is James and my fiancée is Emma. We are in our early 30s and have been together since college. We are homeowners with no children and full secure rear garden. We have a female rescue dog, Sasha, who we've had since early 2021 and shes a proper mixed breed (a number of eastern European sheep dogs breeds plus a bit of dalmation!). She loves attention and sleeping, and has gottten on great with all the dogs we've looked after. Before Sasha, we have been caring for pets for the last 10 years, ranging from rabbits and cats to a bearded dragon. At home we have an enclosed garden and also nearby there is an enclosed park and the Anton lakes. Both Emma, my fiancée, and myself work hybrid and so have flexibility around boarding during the week. We are both available evenings and weekends for dog waking and sitting. We already have some equipment ready at home such as a crate, dog bed, recall training lead, dog toys, treats etc.

This is Rocco's first time staying away from us overnight and he seems to enjoy a lot. I love how James updating photos and messages which reassures us. We definitely don't hesitate to leave Rocco again if we needed.

We've been using James and Emma for a few months now and we couldn't be happier. Our little rescue dog can be a bit unpredictable at times, as he can be nervous and snappy. But James and Emma have been so patient and understanding with him and have worked hard to gain his trust. We get photo and video updates of his walks and belly rubs which sets our mind at ease that he's comfortable and relaxed with them. We're so relieved to have finally found someone who Dougal is happy to stay with! :-)

We have a full enclosed rear garden, with concrete base panels, the fencing is only a couple of years old so no breaks or gaps. During the summer, dogs will have free access to go in or outside and can either relax with us whilst we work or can nap on the sofa or in any of the rooms. Depending on how well trained the dog is, we have a puppy gate seperating the front door from the rest of the house to minimise any chance of escape.

Before sitting we’d just like to know the breed of the dog, it’s temperament, whether it is toilet trained, whether the dog enjoys lots of attention or needs a separate room/quiet space. For weekday boarding I’ll also need to know if the dog is neutered/spayed or in heat.
A typical day
My fiancée and I love walking in the countryside (rain or shine) and we know plenty of dog friendly parks to play in. At home your dog will be treated to lots of love and plenty of ear ruffles and cuddles on the sofa. We also have a quiet area for dogs who may need some space.

Availability
We both work hybrid and so can take dogs out on long walks during lunch, as well as before an after work. It also means they will be supervised during the whole visit and wont be left alone at any time. We are also available to take care of dogs during the day, rather than just in the evening. During the weekend and holidays, we usually take Sasha out two to three times a day, based on the temperature and how long each walk was.
