My family have two lovely black labs and my grandparents have had a variety of different rescue dogs that I have helped care for. I enjoy going for walks with my friends and their dogs and would love a dog of my own in the future. I have cared for dogs of all ages, from puppies to elderly dogs aged 14+. Through Rover I have gained a lot of experience caring for younger dogs and have received great feedback from owners for my attentiveness to their needs as well as assisting with training and socialising during this critical stage in a dogs life. I am currently working full time, remotely from home. I can be available at any time during the day provided enough notice. I would love the company of a dog in the daytime and happy to take them for a walk during their stay. I live in a flat on a private road of terraced houses. My flat is very safe and dog-proof which has been tested through numerous puppies coming to stay. There is lots of green space surrounding my property and many parks nearby.

This was the first time we left Goose with someone other than family, so we were a little apprehensive! James was great from start to finish, he arranged a quick meet up with Goose beforehand so he could get familiar with him, and provided great updates throughout his stay. We’ve already booked Goose’s second stay with James for later in the year. It’s really great knowing we’re leaving him in such safe hands.
James has looked after our Golden Receiver a number of times. James always sends photographs and communicates what they've been up to which I look forward to seeing when I'm travelling. Going by how excited our dog gets when we pull up outside Jame's home, he loves spending time with him.

Pets that come to stay with me are treated as if they were my own. This includes being able to sleep on the furniture (if that is what you allow in your own home). They will have plenty of opportunity to go for walks and loo breaks and feeding in line with their existing schedule. I’ve had lots of bookings through rover so I’m confident that my environment is dog friendly and safe. Overall I want dogs to enjoy the time they spend with me and repeat bookings have shown this through their general excitement when coming to stay!

A typical day
I love to go out for walks in the middle of the day and there are plenty of green spaces near my house for us to go and explore! In addition, I love playing games with dogs and I make sure I have plenty to mentally stimulate your dog throughout the day.

Availability
I work from home for the majority of the time with the occasional travel to the office in Manchester or London. My work is very flexible and I am able to ensure the care of all dogs that stay with me including daily walks, good company, and general comfort.
