Pet care experience
I was born into a family with three dogs and a cat. We always had at pets in the house and were taught how to care and treat them all properly and with lots of love. My first job as a teenager was working at a dog training facility near my home. I spent most summers pet sitting for neighbors and family friends. We do not currently have any pets as we can only rent on the island right now.

I have known James Smith for 30 years and can honestly say he is the most compassionate and caring person I have ever met. James is great with people and is extremely likable, but his passion has always been animals. He has a love for dogs that I have never seen before. He is responsible, playful, and takes care of every animal he has met like it is his own. I can think of no person more qualified and deserving of the opportunity to work for Rover. Hi all! James S is definitely a responsible and loving caregiver! We’ve known James for 5 years. He has always loved our Libby and never let us down when we asked for him to care for her while we were away and he looked forward to having his time with her. Libby needed lots of medications over the years and he’s handled that with ease. James enjoys being outside giving the doggies a good stretch and fetch session. He has a calm and loving approach to animals and you’ll often find him hanging out with one of them in his arms or lap. I highly recommend James S for your company- he’ll be an awesome fit!
James is so great with animals. I have know him for 5 years and his face just lights up whenever he is around them. He is a very caring person and would make an excellent pet care giver. He is trustworthy and I would not hesitate to ask for his help if I needed it for my dogs. I have seen him dog sitting for other friends and he is a natural at it. I always approach an new animal cautiously but without fear. I like to let dogs and cats sniff my hand and make their own opinion of me and allow them to get comfortable with me at their own pace. As much as I love to see dogs run around off a leash I would only feel comfortable with that in thier own fenced-in yard or gated dog park. This island is very busy and I am a strong believer in leashing dogs in public.
