Pet care experience
I am an experienced dog owner and grew up my whole life taking care of dogs. I am one of two very proud dog dads of three years to our boy/lab mix, Cricket. Our pup is high energy and I walk him almost 2 miles every day and play with him as well, so I am very open to any exercise needs your dog has. I once owned a dog with epilepsy so I am comfortable giving basic medications and aftercare for minor surgeries. I love puppies and training and I'm happy to work on any training regiments you have in place. I live in an apartment, but there are several huge dog-friendly parks right across the street from me, so outdoor access is not an issue. I also love taking Cricket to the local dog park, so if your dog enjoys that too I'm happy to take them with me for some socialization and exercise. Aside from my experience I am dog obsessed. You may or may not catch me watching dog training videos and agility competitions just for fun 😉 I also have experience using Rover to find dog sitters for Cricket, and I know how hard it is to find a reliable person, so please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns before booking. Not only does he walk my dog with care and compassion, he also engages with her, providing both physical activity and mental stimulation. James is one of the most compassionate and dog-responsible people I know. I have always described James as a human with dog-like attributes: kind, loyal, communicative, hard working and excited about life, and then seeing him take on and train his own dog was just as brilliant. James leads with kindness in everything he does, and has a special bond with dogs and animals that can only be described as kismet. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone as caring as James, because once you are around him, you'll never want to work or be around anyone else.

If your pup is staying with me, we have a very clean and safe 3br apartment with an enclosed patio that our dog loves to use to sun bathe 😎 Our dog Cricket is a super dog-friendly 3 year old lab mix and absolutely loves having other dogs around to play and snuggle with. As mentioned above, we don't have a yard but we are very close to several lovely parks that I take my dog to regularly. A typical day
When I'm dog sitting, I make sure to give your doggy back having plenty of exercise and stimulation if needed and anything they need to maintain their routine and stay happy and healthy. I live in an apartment, but there are several huge dog-friendly parks right across the street from me, so outdoor access is not an issue. I also love taking my dog Cricket to the local dog park, so if your dog enjoys that too I'm happy to take them with me for some socialization and exercise. My dog Cricket is very good with other dogs and loves to play and socialize. He is good at reading and responding to other dog's energy and gets along with a lot of different ages and types of dogs.

I work as a freelance photographer so I have a very flexible work from home schedule. I ask for a week lead time for bookings just to confirm I don't have any shoots booked, but I am most likely available for a last minute booking, just ask!
