A safe & happy home away from home.

Pet care experience

Hello my name is James. For as long as I could remember dogs have been apart of my life which was the reason for my most previous career choice. After being in the Military for the last seven years, three of which were as a Military Working Dog handler, I've finally come to the end of that career. Being a dog owner myself I know the stress and the amount of trust that goes into giving your loved four legged friend to someone to take care of. That's why I've come to Rover.com to offer my services and give that peace of mind. While your away you'll have peace of mind knowing that your pet will be loved as if it was my own. I would like to use this space to let everyone who is interested know that I will be unavailable until the last week in May due to me transitioning out of the Army. I do apologize for any inconvenience.

James recently took care of our little English bulldog menace aka Memphis, for about 5 days over the memorial day weekend. My wife and I were more than impressed with care and comfort she received in his household. His background as a service dog trainer was extremely beneficial in helping to provide additional training to Memphis. She came back a very trained and happy dog. I would not hesitate to use James for any future stays and will recommend to all our friends. Thank You James!!!

I have had the privilege to work with James in the Army and with our dogs, Bailey (GSD) and Petey (West Highkand Terrier). Not only has he watched our dogs over the course of several years but has also helped us understand why our dogs behave the way they do. James passion for dogs goes beyond dog sitting. He is a dog handler for the US Army and knows not only how to train but how to approach, react and treat dogs they way they deserve to be treated or need to be approached depending on your dogs mannerisms and personalities. I would recommend his services to anyone. His mastery for dog handling surpasses anyone I have met. Highly recommended.

James is a certified Military Working Dog Handler for the United States Army and as a handler his first and foremost concern is the health and welfare of all dogs. SGT Robbins has always shown himself to be 100% trusted with care of all dogs from feeding to medications. I personally have worked with James for two years and not once have I ever doubted his commitment to the health and overall happiness of all four legged buddies.

Why I love dog sitting I've been a dog lover ever since I can remember. My first experience with a working dog was while I was in the Army and I went to Combat Tracking Dog program and Vohn Liche Kennels in 2009. Ever since then I was hooked and when I was able I re-enlisted to become a Dog Handler for the Army.
